Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is wear of the cartilage in a joint. It can occur in almost all joints and can cause pain and/or stiffness in the joint.

So osteoarthritis can occur at any age, but the older one gets, the more likely one is to get osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is more common in women than in men.

What can I do about osteoarthritis

  • Keep moving, at least half an hour every day.
  • Watch your body weight. A BMI over 25 increases the risk of osteoarthritis.
  • Watch your diet. Some foods aggravate inflammation, while others reduce it.
  • Moderate consumption of alcohol and caffeine
  • Prevention of stress
  • Using supplements

Tailbone pain

A fall, whiplash or childbirth can cause a deviated position of the tailbone. This can cause complaints such as

  • Pain in the tailbone
  • Difficulty getting up after sitting
  • Pelvic pain
  • (Chronic) Low back pain.

NIMOC is the abbreviation for Non-Invasive Mobilization of the Coccyx. This is a fairly new treatment method in which the coccyx is externally corrected to its correct position. This treatment is usually not perceived as painful or burdensome.

Treatment with the NIMOC method in combination with trigger point therapy not infrequently gives amazing results.
